Mobility Showcase Database

The SCE Mobility Database is a directory of accredited partners in international work placement with associated relevant information. It is specifically designed for use with second chance learners who need additional support and intervention when looking for a work placement in another country. Finding a suitable work placement is more successful if tutors/trainers and teachers work with “gatekeepers” before making contact with relevant providers of work placements. However, some enterprises can be contacted directly, where indicated.

Gatekeepers

Gatekeepers are often the first point of contact, not the enterprise or company. Gatekeepers are usually providers of second chance education in the host country and are familiar with the specific needs of second chance learners. They are knowledgeable about the local job market and have a good relationship with local enterprises. Gatekeepers will make contact with the preferred employer on your behalf and can also provide ongoing support to your students. Gatekeeper organisations often provide work placements within their own organisation, as some are vocational training providers.
